You message them too and they still don’t answer. They don’t pick up and that makes you angry. You haven’t communicated with them in a while, so you decide to call them. Think about a situation when you see someone that has an ‘online’ status. Your current status will show up next to your profile picture, which is in the top left corner. Click on the one you want and it will change immediately. The top option in that list is ‘online status…’ Scroll over that option and you will see your status choices. Click on that button and a drop down list will appear. You will see the tool bar with a tab entitled ‘Skype.’Ģ. After you have signed into your Skype account, look at the top left corner. People can still contact you when you are in the different status mode, but if you have it set to something like ‘away’ then people will know that you won’t respond until later.ġ. Whatever the reason is, you can change it whenever you want and as many times as you want. Maybe they’re too busy to take calls, or maybe they don’t want someone to bother them at the current time. There are many different reasons why someone would change their status.
The different statuses are: online, away, do not disturb, invisible, and offline. You can make yourself discoverable again by checking this box back on at any time.Having a status tells people whether or not you are online and ready to chat. Select Profile settings and uncheck Appear in search results.Scroll down to the Settings and preferences drop down and select Edit profile.Tap My profile then tap Edit at the top.Please update to the latest version of Skype or go to your Skype Profile on the web to get the most accurate view of your settings. Note: If you changed your visibility settings in a newer version of Skype, older versions may no longer accurately display whether you are opted out of search. You can make yourself discoverable again by turning the option back on at any time. If you prefer not to be included in the public search directory, then you can opt out.
You can add or edit information in your Skype profile such as your location, email, or phone number to make it easier for friends to find you.
